(Spirit Lake)– Look for the pace to pick up next week on the rebuilding of Highways nine and 71 through Spirit Lake.
Public Works Director Todd Dolphin says after seeing a slight lull in activity, things will be kicking back into high gear Monday. Work on sub-drainage and sidewalks is winding down along with the paving of some driveways. Dolphin says crews with Rohlin Construction will be paving through the four-way stop, or the “Wal-Mart intersection”, Monday…causing significant impacts on traffic in that area. Paving is also expected to get underway Monday east of Hill Avenue.
In addition, Dolphin says crews with Graves Construction will arrive next week to start work on the pedestrian underpass on the east side of Spirit Lake. Traffic in that area will also be limited.
