Human Remains Found In Mexico May Be Those Of Missing E’Ville Woman

November 22, 2014

(Estherville)– Officials say human remains found in Mexico may be those of a missing Estherville woman.

Tina Marie Triggs-Conde of Estherville went missing on October 26th, 2003. She was still in the U-S at the time, near the Mexican border, when she was last heard from via her cell phone.

Estherville police say they were recently contacted by Texas authorities who told them Mexican officials had recovered a body. Police have been comparing the remains with photographs of Triggs-Conde, and believe the remains may be hers.

However the remains are still in Mexico, making it difficult for local officials to be 100 percent certain the remains are hers. Brent Shatto, a Captain with the Estherville Police Department, says efforts are under way to bring the remains to the U-S.

Meanwhile, Shatto says, the missing person status continues.

Triggs-Conde was last seen with her husband, Lobo Conde, who has numerous aliases.

She has one son who’s currently living with family in Estherville.
