(Hartley)– The Superintendent of the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn school district will be stepping down at the end of this school year.
Stephen Litts is retiring after 10 years at the helm. He told KUOO news he’s proud of the strategic planning the district has undergone and channeling resources in areas most productive for students are things he’s most proud of. Litts is also pleased with the district’s collaborative leadership program. He also points out the high quality of the district’s facilities, faculty and administration.
Litts will serve as an interim Superintendent in the Graettinger school district for the 2002-’03 school year and he plans to continue to work as an education consultant.
