(Lake Park)– Harris-Lake Park Superintendent Gary Richardson remains optimistic the district will land a 1.75 million dollar grant through Vision Iowa’s Community Attraction and Tourism, or CAT program, to build a new auditorium. It would be attached onto a new elementary school…if voters approve a bond issue this coming Tuesday.
Richardson says he’ll meet again with the Vision Iowa board later this month if Tuesday’s bond issue passes. If it doesn’t, he says the school district will withdraw its application or reduce the amount its requesting to complete the outdoor part of the project…which involves the construction of new athletic fields.
