(Spirit Lake)– Getting around in Spirit Lake will soon be more of a challenge.
Highway Nine will be closed to all through traffic beginning at 4:00 a.m. Tuesday (May 10th) and continuing through Wednesday (May 11th) between the East Okoboji bridge and Peoria Avenue. Traffic will be detoured onto Lake Street. As a result, no parking will be allowed on either side of Lake Street during that time.
Public Works Director Todd Dolphin says the closure is needed to repair some bad pipe under Gary Avenue.
