(Spirit Lake)– Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon on Highway 86 about a quarter-of-a-mile north of the Iowa/Minnesota border.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 37-year-old Brian Pierce of Lakefield lost control of a 1997 Harley Davidson that left the road and rolled over.
Pierce was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake with a dislocated shoulder. A passenger, 37-year-old Catherine Pierce of Lakefield, was also taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare. She was treated for minor injuries and released.
The motorcycle was totalled.
The mishap took place shortly after 3:30 p.m.
