(Wahpeton)– One person was taken to the hospital as the result of a two-vehicle collision Wednesday on Highway 86 at the Crescent Beach turn-off in Wahpeton.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Patten Eric of Webb was northbound on Highway 86 when 71-year-old Glenn Peters of Wahpeton pulled into his path from an intersection.
Peters was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare for treatment of possible injuries. No injuries were reported to Eric.
A 1992 Ford truck driven by Eric and owned by Toft Tree Farm of Spencer sustained an estimated five thousand dollars in damage. Damage to a 1996 GMC pickup driven by Peters was estimated at 2,500-dollars.
Peters was charged with failure to yield.
The mishap took place shortly before 1:00 p.m.
