(Spirit Lake)– Could the drought be over?
Many people have been asking that question since Saturday evening…when heavy thunderstorms started bringing drenching rains to the area.
Over four inches of rain has fallen at the KUOO studios since it started Saturday evening. We’ve received 4.13 inches, to be exact. Some areas have received as much as six inches.
Even with all the rain, officials with the National Weather Service say it’s still too early to tell if the drought has been broken.
Many parts of the region are still well below their annual rainfall for this time of year.
