(Lake Park)– A Harris man sustained minor injuries Saturday night when the vehicle he was driving collided with a horse on the Harris blacktop just west of Lake Park.
Lake Park Police Chief Jeff Jacobsma says 54-year-old Harold Funk was driving a 1985 Chevy S-10 Blazer when he collided with the horse, which had wandered onto the road. Funk was taken to Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake where he was treated for minor injuries. The horse, owned by Randy Johnson of Lake Park, was killed.
The mishap took place around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
