Ground Broken On New ILEC Headquarters

November 23, 2014

(Estherville)– Ground was broken this (Wed.) morning in Estherville for what will become the new headquarters for Iowa Lakes Electric Cooperative. Construction is already underway. The new facility is going up where the former Morrell building was located along Highway four on the south edge of Estherville.

ILEC General Manager Terry Bruns says a diversification in services the co-op offers has led to the need for more room.

Bruns says the project not only includes a new headquarters, but an additional facility that will house trucks and equipment.

The project has a price tag of somewhere between 3.5 and 3.7 million dollars.

Completion is targeted for late 2002.
