(Washington, D.C.)– Even though important gains have been made recently in the war in Afghanistan, U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says things are getting even more tedious for U-S and opposition forces as they try to flush out remaining Taliban strongholds and Osama Bin Laden himself. Grassley says the operation is reaching its most dangerous point yet as special forces go deep into the country’s mountains and caves.
When it comes to post-war Afghanistan, Grassley says the U-S should not try to become peace keepers. He says more neutral countries should be involved…such as India or Turkey.
Grassley says the U-S may find itself helping to fund such operations…and he feels it would be a good investment.
