(Graettinger)– Two Graettinger children are hospitalized after they fell out of a pickup Saturday evening.
The Iowa State Patrol says 11-year-old Joshua Harris and 12-year-old Zach Harris, both of Graettinger, were injured in the accident just before 7:00 p.m. Saturday on 425th Avenue on the south end of Graettinger.
41-year-old Donald Harris was driving a 1993 Ford pickup in a farm field on the east side of 425th Avenue with the two boys riding on the tailgate of the truck. When Harris drove onto 425th, the boys fell off the tailgate and onto the roadway.
Joshua was taken by ambulance to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. Zach was taken to the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg and was later air lifted to a Sioux Falls hospital.
