(Estherville)– Iowa Lakes Community College is the recipient of some lab equipment donated by Golden Sun/Purina.
Mary Larscheid, an Associate Professor at Iowa Lakes, says she recently received a phone call from Amy Lowe, a friend who works at Golden Sun/Purina, wondering if ILCC would be interested in the equipment. Larscheid says she and Bob Klepper, an Associate Professor of Chemistry, took a look at the equipment. She says what they found was extraordinary.
The donated equipment, worth several thousands of dollars, includes a centrifuge, two analytical balances, an ash oven, micropipettes, glassware, and plastic disposable items.
Larscheid says the equipment will be in Iowa Lake’s Biology and Chemistry classes.
