A Georgia man is in custody in Storm Lake charged with having non-consentual sex with a 18 year old woman.
At about 4 AM Wednesday morning, the Storm Lake Police Dpartment responded to a sexual assault at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center. The victim, an 18 year old female, told officers that she passed out in the back seat of her car after drinking too much alcohol just after midnight. When she awoke, her pants were inside out, she had a different shirt on, and no underwear. The girl was immediately taken to the hospital by friends.
Through an investigation, Police determined that the victim was passed out in the parking lot of the Vista Economy Inn in Storm Lake while friends were visiting some men in one of the hotel rooms. During that time, one of the men from the group, 32 year old Justin Klinesmith of Eliga, Georgia, is alleged to have gone out to the car and had sex with the victim.
Klinesmith has been arrested and charged with 3rd degree sexual abus, a class C felony. He is in the Buena Vista County jail with a $3,00.00 bond.
