G-E-D Tests To Undergo Changes

November 23, 2014

(Estherville)– If you’re in the process of getting your General Education Diploma, or G-E-D, there’s a major change coming up you need to be aware of.

Barb Grandstaff heads up the Continuing Education Department at Iowa Lakes Community College. She tells KUOO news new G-E-D tests will be coming out the first of the year. She says anyone who hasn’t taken the entire series of tests by that time will have to start over and pay another fee. To avoid that, Grandstaff says you should take all of the tests by the first of the year.

Grandstaff says G-E-D tests are usually updated every 10 to 15 years. This is the first time though old scores won’t be grandfathered in.
