(Spencer)– The Southpark Mall in Spencer will be the new home of a Fridley movie theatre.
Officials with the mall and Fridley announced the new partnership Tuesday. Terry Dotson, Vice President of Fridley Theatres who’s in charge of theatre operations, says the new seven screen state-of-the-art theatre will be constructed where the Stage and JoAnne Fabrics Stores used to be located.
Dotson says they’ve been talking with mall officials about the cinema for about the last two years.
Dotson says construction should begin this week with completion set for the late spring of 2004.
