Four People Charged In Spencer Drug Bust

(Spencer)– A drug bust in Spencer has resulted in the arrest of four people on numerous charges.

The Spencer Police Department executed a search warrant at 511 West Fifth Street last Friday. Officers found numerous drugs during the search and arrested four adults.

Both 42-year-old Cameron Dean and 43-year-old Theresa Dean were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, child endangerment, and for hosting gatherings where drugs are used. Both were booked into the Clay county jail on bond of 83-thousand 525 dollars.

Also arrested were 22-year-old James Dean and 25-year-old Jennifer Costello. They are charged with possession of meth with intent to deliver, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and child endangerment. They were booked into the Clay county jail on bond of 73-thousand 775 dollars.

In addition to the drugs, officers found four children–ages 14, 12, 4 and 3–at the home. They have been turned over to the custody of the Iowa Department of Human Services.

Spencer police expect more arrests as their investigation is ongoing.
