(Estherville)– Four students from Iowa Lakes Community College have been selected to participate in this year’s Entrepreneurial Institute August 1st-6th at Iowa Lakeside Lab.
Students from ILCC that will participate include Joe Lappegard of Estherville, Justin Madagan of Spirit Lake, and Lynn Bouska of Laurens…all students in the Business Administration and Management program; and Julie Harms of Emmetsburg who’s pursuing an Associate in Arts Degree.
All four went through a screening process.
In addition to the students, a professor from Iowa Lakes Community College will also be involved in this year’s institute. Lecia Berven, Accounting Specialist Professor, will lead a class on networking strategies.
This is the fifth year for the institute and the fourth time Iowa Lakes students have participated in the event.
Participants attend education topics on entrepreneurship and work in teams to complete a computer simulation to start a company. Attendees also have a chance to network with some of the region’s finest entrepreneurs as well as earn three college credits.
