Former Employee Of Everly Bank Accused Of Embezzling

(Everly)– A former employee of the State Bank in Everly has been charged with first-degree theft.

Susan Fliss of Everly is accused of stealing more than 10-thousand dollars from the bank’s vault over three years.

Court documents say the alleged embezzlement was confirmed by an internal audit.

Bank officials say no customer accounts were affected and that a bonding company has reimbursed the missing money.
