(Spencer)– Spencer firefighters spent several hours battling a house fire Sunday afternoon.
Fire Chief Doug Duncan says firefighters were called to 815 West Fourth Street around 3:30 p.m. and found flames coming from the north side of the home.
The occupants, the Greg Johnson family, got out uninjured.
Extensive fire and smoke damage was reported to the home.
Duncan says the cause remains under investigation, but it appears to have started in a first floor bedroom.
Firefighters were on the scene about five hours.
