(Milford)– An old garage southeast of Milford was destroyed by fire Sunday.
Milford Fire Chief Don Eckard says his department was called to the Diane Guthrie residence at 2462 250th Avenue around 4:30 p.m.
Eckard says the structure was pretty much engulfed when firefighters arrived, and that the blaze had spread to a nearby machine shed, starting an outside corner of it on fire.
The garage, which was empty, was destroyed. Damage to the machine shed was described as minor.
A trash fire that got out of hand is sited as the probable cause.
Milford firefighters were on the scene about an hour Sunday.
