(Milford)– Fire destroyed a barn and damaged two other buildings Saturday on a farm south of Milford.
Milford Fire Chief Don Eckard says firefighters were called to the Bernard Derner farm on 230th Street between 5:00 and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. He says the barn was fully engulfed and the fire had spread to two other buildings. Eckard says the barn was destroyed; the exteriors of the other two buildings were blackened.
All of the buildings were empty.
Eckard says the blaze was the result of a trash fire that got out of control due to the very dry conditions.
Milford firefighters were on the scene about two hours.
No injuries were reported.
