Filings For Dickinson County Supervisors Continue To Pour In

November 23, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The mad dash to file papers for the Dickinson County Board of Supervisors continues.

Another person filed Friday for the Republican nomination for the fourth district seat. Steven Moore of Okoboji became the fifth person to seek the nomination. He’ll square off against Bob Duncan and Don Cable…both of rural Milford; and George Stewart and Paul Johnson of Okoboji. Donna Buel and Mike Wittrock…both of Spirit Lake…have filed so far for the Democratic nomination for the fourth district.

James Jones of Arnolds Park filed Friday for the Republican nomination for the District two seat. He’ll be facing Mardi Allen of rural Arnolds Park and Dale Kimball of rural Spirit Lake for the Republican nomination. Mike Koppert of Arnolds Park and Ron Eick of Terril are running on the Democratic ticket.

David Gottsche, an incumbent, filed his papers Friday as a Democrat for the third district Board of Supervisor seat. He’s the only person to have filed so far in that district.

No one from either party has filed yet for the district five seat.

This coming Wednesday, March 27th, is the filing deadline.
