(Ocheyedan)– A northwest Iowa city has been awarded a federal technology grant.
Ocheyedan will get almost 137-thousand dollars through the U-S Department of Agriculture for broadband internet services.
The funds are available to communities that do not have access to broadband connectivity for essential services such as fire and police protection, hospitals, libraries and schools.
In exchange for receiving the grant the community must provide residents with internet access.
