(Spirit Lake)– Accessing the Spirit Lake schools…especially the Elementary and Middle School…will be even trickier starting Monday (4/19).
City officials say the intersection of 28th Street and Hill Avenue will be closed to all traffic starting then as the Hill Avenue South project makes its way into that area.
Elementary Principal Jon Wiebers says a crossing guard will still be stationed at the 28th and Hill intersection. A gravel walkway will be available across Hill Avenue. Crossing guards will also be located at the corner of Erie Avenue and 28th Street.
Motorists picking up students will need to access the school by using Erie Avenue and 28th Street.
The Hill Avenue project will continue through October.
