(Spencer)– A major expansion is being proposed for Spencer Municipal Hospital.
The hospital’s board of trustees this week reviewed preliminary plans for a new surgical center that would be constructed to the west of the existing hospital.
SMH Marketing Director Susan Zulk says even though the board gave the go-ahead to draw up more detailed plans, the project is still very tentative. She says they want to review the results of a marketing study before deciding whether or not to proceed.
