(Spirit Lake)– A major expansion is in the works for an assisted living center in Spirit Lake.
Lantis Enterprises, the company that owns Well Life, is planning to add a 50 unit apartment building to the east of its existing facility on 23rd street.
The city council Tuesday approved a request from the company to establish a tax increment financing plan to assist the project.
Gary Harter, Vice President of Operations for Lantis, says a timeframe for the five million dollar project hasn’t been set. He says the company is still lining up financing.
Harter says Lantis conducted a feasibility study showing there’s a need for additional assisted living units in Dickinson county.
