(Estherville)– The Executive Dean of the Estherville campus of Iowa Lakes Community College is resigning at the end of the academic year.
Dean Ellengray Kennedy tells KUOO news she plans to pursue her PHD at Iowa State University…where she’s been offered a Research Assistanship. Kennedy says while she’s going to miss Iowa Lakes, that the offer was simply too good to pass up.
Kennedy started at Iowa Lakes as an Associate Dean of Student Services and Arts and Sciences in 1997. She became Executive Dean of the Estherville campus and Chief Academic Officer for the college later that same year.
Prior to coming to Iowa Lakes, Kennedy worked for Briar Cliff University as a Center Director and as an instructor/coordinator based out of the Iowa Lakes Algona center.
