(Estherville)– Charges have been filed against an Estherville man accused of making inappropriate comments to two female juveniles.
Estherville police say the girls, ages 11 and 12, were able to give them a detailed description of the suspect, resulting in the arrest of 42-year-old Gary L. Hanson of Estherville.
Hanson was charged with harrassment in the third degree…a simple misdemeanor…and was released on his own recognizance.
Upon further investigation, police say they determined Hanson had failed to register with the state as a sex offender. He was booked into the Emmet county jail on 6,500-dollars bond.
