(Everly)– An Everly woman was seriously injured in a four-wheeler accident Sunday in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says the mishap took place around 8:00 p.m. about a half mile north of the intersection of 300th Street and 150th Avenue just north of Everly.
Authorities say 23-year-old Jessica Myers was driving a polaris four-wheeler on gravel when she lost control and overturned on the edge of the roadway. Myers was thrown from the four-wheeler and landed in the ditch.
She was taken by ambulance to Spencer Hospital with multiple serious injuries. Myers was later life-flighted to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Officials there are not releasing her condition.
Damage to the four-wheeler was estimated at 15-hundred dollars.
