(Estherville)– An Estherville teen was seriously injured in a one vehicle accident Tuesday near Terril.
Authorities say 17-year-old Autume Lynn Haar of Estherville lost control of a 1987 Ford as she was westbound on 230th Street about two miles northeast of Terril. The vehicle flipped over, ejecting Haar, who was the only one in the car.
Haar was taken by ambulance to Dickinson County Memorial Hospital and was transferred by Life Flight Helicopter to a Sioux Falls hospital with internal injuries.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol, Terril First Responders and Dickinson County Ambulance.
The mishap took place around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday.
