(Yankton, S.D.)– An Estherville man faces additional jail time after pleading guilty to escape.
Timothy Donald Koons entered the plea in connection with his escape August 16th from the federal prison camp in Yankton, South Dakota. He was caught the next day by the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office.
Koons faces a maximum of five years in prison and a 250-thousand dollar fine for escaping.
He had been serving a 97-month sentence after being convicted of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
