(Terril)– Two people were injured Saturday when a motorcycle they were riding collided with a dog near Terril.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says the driver, 39-year-old Robert Knaack of Estherville, was southbound on county road A-31 when a dog ran into his path…colliding with the left side of the motorcycle. Authorities say Knaack attempted to slow down after the collision and layed the motorcycle down onto its side.
Knaack and his wife, 35-year-old Marilee Knaack who was a passenger, were taken by ambulance to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville with undisclosed injuries.
Authorities say neither person was wearing a helmet.
The mishap took place shortly before 11:30 a.m.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Terril First Responders and the Lakes Regional Health Care Ambulance.
