The Emmetsburg softball and baseball teams were shut out Monday night against Lemars. In the softball contest Lemars won 5-0 behind a complete game 2 hit shutout from pitcher Molly Renken. She recorded 13 strikeouts and gave up just 2 hits as the Bulldogs improve to 12-0 and 3-0 in the Lakes Conference. 9 of the 12 wins for the bulldogs this season have come via shutout and they have outscored their opponents 93-8. Emmetsburg got a double from Emily Noll and a double from Jacque Carlson for their 2 hits. The E’hawks are now 1-5 and 0-3 in the conference and have lost 4 in a row.
The Emmetsburg baseball team lost 15-0 to Lemars in 5 innings.
Both teams will be in Hull on Wednesday and the baseball game will be broadcasted on Y 100 starting around 7:30 PM
Estherville beat Storm Lake in softball Monday night 10-0 in 5 innings and the baseball team won 13-3 over the Tornadoes in 6 innings.
