(Emmetsburg)– A report of an assault around 12:02 a.m. Saturday at a residence in rural Palo Alto county landed an Emmetsburg man in jail.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to a residence in Emmetsburg Township. Upon investigating, they arrested 45-year-old Daniel Amato on a charge of aggravated assault.
Amato was booked into the Palo Alto county jail pending an initial appearance before a magistrate.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on the scene by the Emmetsburg Police Department.
