Emmet County Vandalism Cases Result In Three Arrests

(Armstrong)– Two adults and one juvenile face charges in connection with a recent rash of vandalism in Emmet county.

Emmet County Sheriff Mike Martens tells KUOO news 18-year-old Ross Hingson of Burt was charged with one count of criminal mischief in the second degree and 18-year-old Daniel Struecker of Fenton was charged with two counts of criminal mischief in the second degree, along with a 17-year-old juvenile from Cylinder.

They’re accused of spray painting a restroom at Okamanpeden State Park as well as road signs at Iowa Lake Campground and throughout rural Emmet county, as well as a shelter house in the Armstrong City Park.

Criminal mischief in the second degree is punishable by up to five years in prison and a minimum fine of $750 with a maximum of $7,500.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted in the investigation by the Armstrong Police Department.
