(Emmetsburg)– The city of Emmetsburg has a new Community Developer.
The city council earlier this week voted unanimously to hire Steve Heldt to the position being vacated by Tom Alger.
Heldt has spent the past 20 years selling cars at an Emmetsburg dealership.
City administrator John Bird says Heldt is well versed in the issues and projects going on in Emmetsburg, including the efforts to bring a riverboat casino to town.
Heldt begins his new job November 7th.
