(Spirit Lake)– Charges have been filed against a Fort Dodge man in connection with a traffic stop early this (Tues.) morning in Spirit Lake.
Police say 22-year-old John Paul Haisman has been charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine; possession of drug paraphernalia and prohibited acts.
Spirit Lake police say they stopped Haisman for a traffic violation on Highway nine near Casey’s shortly before 2:00 a.m. Authorities say a search of the vehicle turned up a quantity of a substance believed to be methamphetamine along with numerous items of drug paraphernalia.
Haisman was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
