(Spencer)– An arraignment has been set for a Spencer man accused of shooting and killing his wife.
71-year-old Harold Duncan appeared in Clay County District Court for a preliminary hearing. He’s charged with first degree murder…a class “A” felony. Duncan is accused of shooting and killing his 62-year-old wife Karen Duncan on January 12th at their mobile home in west Spencer. He then turned the gun on himself in an unsuccessful suicide attempt. Duncan will appear in court Monday, February 24th for an arraignment. He’s being represented by Spirit Lake attorneys John Sandy and Ned Bjornstad.
