(Sibley)– Osceola county authorities say charges may be pending in connection with a search warrant executed Friday on a residence at 893 Main Street in Ocheyedan. It resulted in the discovery of what’s alleged to be marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Authorities say the recovered items have been sent to the Division of Criminal Investigation’s crime lab in Des Moines. An investigation continues.
In another case, Osceola county authorities say a Sibley man has been convicted of third offense possession of marijuana…an aggravated misdemeanor. 32-year-old Jayson Groninga received a 30-day jail sentence. Authorities say it stems from a search warrant conducted last month on a residence at 835 Fourth Avenue in Sibley that resulted in the seizure of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office also says a 25-year-old man was arrested on a warrant Friday. Jason Hatting was charged with domestic assault abuse…a simple misdemeanor. Hatting was freed after posting a 325-dollar bond. Authorities say the arrest stems from the alleged assault of a 23-year-old female in Melvin on December 23rd of last year.
