(Spirit Lake)– Drug charges have been filed against a Spirit Lake man police made contact with while on routine patrol late Tuesday night.
Spirit Lake police say they made contact with a 27-year-old male identified as Shannon Bryon Howard. Upon further investigation officers discovered Howard was in possession of a green leafy plant material believed to be marijuana.
The incident resulted in authorities executing a search warrant on a residence at 1505 and-a-half Hill Avenue in Spirit Lake that resulted in the seizure of drug paraphernalia.
Howard was charged with possession of a controlled substance…a serious misdemeanor; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor. He was booked into the Dickinson county jail.
