(Montgomery)– Drug charges have been filed against a Montgomery man in connection with a search of his residence earlier this week.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy smelled a strong odor of ether as he was serving a civil paper Wednesday at 1933 143rd Street in Montgomery. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the residence later the same day.
32-year-old Russell James Hodge of Montgomery was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hodge was released on bond of one thousand dollars after making an initial court appearance.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the O’Brien County Sheriff’s Office and the Spirit Lake Police Department.
