Spirit Lake police have charged a Harris man with 3 misdemeanors after an early morning traffic stop. An officer reports stopping 46 year old Milton James Smith’s 2004 red 2004 Buick LeSabre for a traffic violtion, and finding a substance believed to be marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and a dangerous weapon with a blade exceeding 9 inches long in the vehicle.
Smith was booked into the Dickinson County jail on charges of: Carrying a dangerous weapon exceeding 8 inches long, an aggravated misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance, a serious misdemeanor;and possession of drug paraphernalia, a simple misdemeanor.
The case remains under investigation.
