Driver Loses Control While Eluding Deer; Minor Injuries Reported

(Wilder, Mn.)– A Worthington man sustained minor injuries when he took evasive action to avoid hitting a deer this (Tuesday) morning while traveling east on Highway 60 on the east side of Wilder in Jackson county.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the driver, 22-year-old John Iruegas of Worthington, was taken to the Windom hospital where he was treated for a minor injury.

Severe damage was reported to a 2006 Ford van which left the road and rolled.

The incident took place around 5:15 a.m.

The Minnesota State Patrol was assisted on the scene by the Jackson and Cottonwood County Sheriff’s Offices.
