Bill Maahs of the D-N-R’s Lakes Patrol tells KUOO news officers have spent the day (Wed.) recovering boats and atleast one personal watercraft that became loose in hoists and drifted away.
Maahs says the levels of the Iowa Great Lakes have gone up atleast nine to 10 inches in some cases, causing boats and pwc’s to slip out of their hoists.
