(Spencer)– Today (Wed.) marks another full day of events at the Clay County Fair. CEO and General Manager Jason Brockshus says it’s Disability Awareness and First Responder’s Day at the fair…
“We’re going to invite a lot of those special needs folks to the grounds. Mike Feathersten with Goldstar Amusements is awesome and will run amusement rides with a little less lights and sound and that on a Wednesday, and so it’s going to be a great day on the fairgrounds for Wednesday. It’s also First Responders Day. So if you’re a first responder or consider yourself one, a nurse, EMT, firefighter, police or law enforcement of any type, we welcome you to the fairgrounds free of charge. Just show, if they ask at the gate, show your card or badge or work badge that you work at a hospital or something. Please come on out Wednesday, First Responder’s Day, and enjoy the fair. We’re going to have some special displays with ambulances and fire trucks and that sort of thing at Central Park area of the fairgrounds for people to enjoy. We’re looking forward to a great mid-week day at the fair.”
A series of dirt events will get underway this (Wed.) evening in front of the grandstand, with Bulls and Broncs at 7:30 pm…
The Clay County Fair powered by SMU is now entering the half-way mark for this year’s run, which concludes Sunday, September 20th.
