Dickinson Supervisors Receive Update On Courthouse Project

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday received a comprehensive report on finances on the courthouse project to date.

According to the report, the project was under budget by more than a million dollars as of July 1st. 4.683 million dollars or 31 percent of the 14.9 million dollar bond monies had been spent as of July 31st on the project, with construction estimated at 38 percent complete. Changeorders so far total nearly 144-thousand dollars…or 21 percent of the 680-thousand dollars in a contingency budget. Total project costs as of July 31st are 1.1 million or seven percent under budget.

The timeframe for the first phase construction has been pushed back slightly. Best estimates now are that occupancy won’t take place until early January, 2006.
