Dickinson Supervisors Hear Request For Added Hours For Veteran’s Affairs Assistant

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday heard a request from Veteran’s Services Officer John Tonsfeldt to increase the hours of a part-time assistant in his office.

Tonsfeldt told the supervisors an increase in the demand for services and extensive research needed for a veteran’s history project and the veteran’s memorial plaza to be built in conjunction with the courthouse project are the result of the request.

Tonsfeldt request the position of his assistant, Ernest Cupp, be increased from four-eighths to five-eighths and to pay 75 of 117 hours of overtime Cupp has accrued.

The supervisors took the request under advisement. They’ll take it up again September 28th.
