Dickinson Supervisors Award Utility Building Bid

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson county board of supervisors Tuesday officially awarded the bid for the construction of a utility building behind the former Baptist Church in Spirit Lake to Apple Enterprises of Spirit Lake for 59,750-dollars. With options for tree and brush removal and a heavier roof included, the total cost comes to 66,550-dollars. The vote awarding the bid was unanimous.

The supervisors also Tuesday approved the concept and design on the resurfacing and widening of county road M-56 on the east side of Big Spirit Lake. The road will be widened three feet on each side to accomodate a recreational trail. In approving the design and concept, the supervisors also accepted a 50-thousand dollar cost share from the Dickinson County Trails Association for the project.
