Dickinson Supervisors Approve Interim Help For Co. Attorney

November 22, 2014

(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Attorney’s Office will once again have additional help this summer.

The board of supervisors Tuesday approved a proposal from Rosalise Olson to hire an intern. James McDonald is a law student at the University of Iowa that will assist the office this summer in prosecuting misdemeanor cases.

The supervisors also approved a request from Olson granting Cindy Schubert, a part-time worker in the office, a leave of absence during the summer so she can work at the Dickinson County Museum. They approved the hiring of Brandy Thompson, who’s studying to become an attorney, to assume Schubert’s duties while she’s away from the office.

Olson told the supervisors the shifting in personnel will have no impact on her budget, which has 21-thousand dollars in it for temporary help.
